A zero token quote must list both input and output at zero. Free input with paid output is not a zero-rate route. A promotional account tier can also have verification charges, paid overage, a daily allowance or access through a provider interface rather than an unrestricted API. Read the conditions before adding credentials to an application.
The zero-rate table does not invent a request limit when the rate card omits it. The offer table retains the provider’s limits and eligibility text. An unreported expiry means the end date is unknown, not that access is permanent.
Check the evidence clock and data terms
Only a current eligible quote is labeled current. Older zero rates remain visible as recorded observations, with their check date; they do not establish that the route is free today. Free offers use their own verification and expiry checks.
Confirm the model variant, allowed usage and data-use terms at the provider. A free tier can be useful for a small evaluation while still having rate, availability or retention limits that matter to your application. Keep those constraints beside your test results.
How this view is assembled
Selection: available, recorded zero-rate routes with exact model identities, excluding conditional or degraded routes and superseded aggregate quotes. Current quotes follow the explorer’s 48-hour freshness rule and reject future check dates.
